Changes to the appointment system
To increase the number of available appointments we have recruited three new part-time GPs and have increased the number of appointments with the Urgent Care Practitioner.
In addition to this we are trialling a new appointment system to try to make it easier for you to book an appointment and to improve the service we provide.
Click here for more information about the changes.
We offer appointments with the doctors and nurses on mornings, afternoons and evenings between 9.00am and 6.20pm
See our surgery times for more details.
On Mondays and Fridays we offer a telephone triage service. The receptionist will take your details and a brief summary of the reason for your call. The GP will ring you back and provide advice. If necessary you may be asked to come to the surgery to see a GP.
On Tuesdays to Thursdays we allocate a number of emergency appointments which are usually at the end of surgery, although a few may be slotted in between booked patients. These appointments can only be booked on the day. Afternoon emergency slots are not available until after 12.30pm.
If you do need an emergency appointment, you may not have a choice of doctor or time. If however you wish to specify a particular doctor or timescale, we will try and fit you in with the earliest non-emergency appointment.
We offer online appointment booking through Patient Services.
To use Patient Services you will need a Practice ID number and Access ID number which is obtained from the practice, and, in conjunction with a password, will be unique to you. Click here for more details of the service and how to register.
